Suma Devanga Ph.D., CCC-SLP
Dr. Devanga joined the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at Western Michigan University in 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Mysore, India. She completed her Ph.D., in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. At WMU, Dr. Devanga leads the NCI lab and conducts clinical research aimed at improving everyday communicative functioning in individuals with aphasia and other acquired neurogenic communication disorders. Dr. Devanga is also a part of the clinical team leading the Aphasia Communication Enhancement program at the Unified Clinics.
